In the spirit of SXSW, you are bound to expect gigs by artists that are making a name for themselves, and Rishi K. is one we though you should get to know.

Rishi makes music that allows people to go deeper into themselves for a spiritual and healing experience, or simply to just have fun!

Based in San Francisco he has been producing and DJing deep and tech house since 2011. Since then he has been released on many well respected labels in deep house, and his productions are being supported by some of the top names in deep house today.

Cromarti Records is a young label based out of Austin TX focused on delivering some of the best Deep House, Tech House, Progressive, Soulful House, and Disco influenced electronic music the world has to offer. The focus is to release thoughtful and emotive dance music, bringing together sounds from all over the House music spectrum, yet emphasizing music with an innovative and inspirational touch in order to depart from the often stale and monotonous world of commercialism and mainstream dance music. Cromarti has, thus far, gained support from top names within the industry such as:

We invite you to join us every second Sunday at Lanai to experience the world of music through our eyes. We have one simple principle – no matter what the genre or style you wish to name it, if it sounds good, makes you groove, tap your feet, or nod your head, then it’s good. This is the music that inspires us, and that we wish to transmit to other households and dancefloors for the same effect – musical inspiration and good party vibes. At each showcase, we’ll be giving out label freebies such as T-shirts, promotional CDs, iTunes vouchers, etc and Lanai has cheap drinks all night, so it really is an event not to be missed.

George is an experienced dj, gifted producer, and all-around multimedia wizard in charge of all things design at Cromarti. Originally from South Carolina, his charm and hospitality is hard to resist – especially when it is manifested in his fluid dj sets and lush, intricate productions, which welcome all discerning listeners to the grooving dancefloor.

Will is a chap hailing from London who is also quite talented behind the decks. He specializes in tech and progressive house suitable for any party and has experience running his own Proton radio show and party night, Coordinated.

Well Austin… We at Cromarti Records are trying to bring you all some of the best, up and coming, underground, talented artists on the market to check out. For our August showcase we’d like to introduce you to a very talented producer who will be featured on Cromarti Records with some great digs!

He’s a UK-based DJ/Producer/Remixer/Fashion Designer, but the born and bred scouser from Liverpool has a very spainish alias, Jesus Pablo.

A collaboration of mind, body and soul infuses his thoughts as he hopes to create imaginative sets and music, and for anyone that will care to listen.

“Music should make you dance, smile and think all at the same time, so that’s what I intend to do. Appreciate the DJ and the music and the rest will follow, you will begin to see how they worked together.”

Forging a base on everything from house to techno, he plans to be known as the man who takes you on a journey and move your feet. Jesus has started to bring his own sound to the masses with a truck load of originals, remixes and collabs due out before this summer on labels such as 26 Tea Drops International, What Happens, Cubsim, Deep Edition Recordings, Deso Records, EleFlight Records, Kitschy Records, Headtunes Recordings, Cromarti Records, and many more. His contribution to the scene cannot be underestimated – even thought its only just beginning.

Adding to all his releases, he’s also now signed to Headtunes Recordings, as an in-house artist and remixer for the label, plus they have personally asked him to do some exclusive remixes / edits and also mix their forthcoming ‘5 Year Compilation Album’ – which is due out in July. He’s picked an album full of distinctive cuts from the past five years that will take you on a soulfully deep and techy house journey. Jesus is planning to remix 4 of the album tracks and with the addition of an exclusive track from himself, he’s making an EP for the label to really stamp his mark.

The future is looking very bright indeed; steadily settling into production and a DJ career that is soon to explode; already played at Birmingham’s number one underground venue ‘Cellar Door’ for FUSS Club aswell as attracting attention from all over Europe, including gigs at Culture Box, Copenhagen for Tim Andresen’s ‘What Happens’, plus a tour of USA and Mexico booked in for August and South America in Novemeber, the future looks very promising.

Often after the July 4th weekend you feel all partied out, tired, hung over, deflated even, and the prospect of heading out the following weekend doesn’t have quite the same appeal. Well boy do we have something to change all that!

Globetrotting DJ extraordinaire, Jim Rivers, is coming to town. It’s been nearly two years since Jim last graced the decks in Austin, but this July 8th, he’s back with a FREE show at Lanai rooftop lounge.

Since his debut release on SAW Recordings in 2006, Jim Rivers has become a much sought after DJ/Producer worldwide. Described as “a future classic in the making” by Paolo Mojo, his relaunch of the Nubreed series on Global Underground took the electronic music world by storm in 2009. Crossing the many bridges between house and techno with relaxed dignity, Jim’s DJing, original productions, and remixing make him stand head and shoulders above the current crop of DJs.

We’re lucky to have bagged Jim in Austin for one night with an exclusive two hour set as part of his Texas tour. In an age where most headliners coming through Texas are doing 1 – 1.5 hour sets, two hours will give you an opportunity to really get into the groove. So, put your dancing shoes on, grab a cocktail or two, and come out and hear what all the fuss is about.
